- Note: For longevity of product, do not let soak in water for long periods of time. Cast iron is a metal and will rust. Clean thoroughly with sponge or soft bristle brush, and mild soap. Then cure and rub in a soft oil such as olive oil. Let sit for a minute and wipe away clean. Oil can collect dirt and dust, so be sure to wipe away all excess. Then is ready to use the next time you go camping or cook!
